Super Typhoon Surigae is circulating to the east of the Phillipines this evening. The system is very large, powerful, and hopefully will stay offshore. However, some computer modelling is showing it gettinguncomfortably close to the northern Philippines early next week. It is also forecast to move slower in the coming days, with the opportunity to see slight changes in steering as it’s unlikely to clear the region till the middle part of the week coming. Those in the Phillipines should keep a close eye on forecasts.
